How does it detect customer location?

ShipEstimate uses IP geolocation to automatically detect the customer's country. If detection fails, a dropdown lets them select manually. No zip code entry needed.

Does it work with my theme?

Yes. ShipEstimate uses a Shopify theme app extension that works with all Online Store 2.0 themes including Dawn. Just add the block in your theme editor.

What shipping rates does it show?

It reads your existing Shopify shipping zones and rates — the same ones you've configured in Settings > Shipping. No carrier API or additional setup needed.

Is customer data stored?

No. We never store customer IP addresses, emails, or any personal data. IP is used transiently for geolocation and immediately discarded.

How accurate are the delivery dates?

Delivery dates are estimates based on your configured processing time plus standard transit windows (3-5 days domestic, 7-14 days international). They're meant to set realistic expectations, not guarantee exact dates.
